How accessible is Dubai from the UK?

The answer is simple – “Very!”

We had a quick tally up of the number of seats on direct flights from the UK to Dubai and discovered the answer is 16 seats short of 10,500!

And that’s just the direct flights which are operated by Emirates, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, Royal Brunei and British Airways.

Flight information

A return economy ticket from the UK to London ranges from GBP 320 to GBP 420 depending on the time of year of travel.

Flights with a slightly lower price tag can be found if you’re willing to do a short stopover in locations such as Istanbul (Turkish Airlines and Pegasus) and Doha (Qatar Airways).

Anyone who has time on their hands can take advantages of rock bottom ticket prices on low cost airlines such as Wizz Air and Ryanair. Neither of the fore mentioned airlines fly directly (or even indirectly) between the UK and Dubai, however it is possible to use a combination of low cost carriers to get you to Dubai.

After just a few minutes of searching, the cheapest combination flight we found was a GBP 22 Ryanair flight between London Stanstead and Bucharest and a GBP 43 flight between Bucharest and Dubai (via Istanbul) which is operated by Pegasus. The total journey duration is just shy of 22 hours which we think is very reasonable for GBP 64 (including taxes).
