The first Sunday of every month is always exciting at Zero Gravity Dubai as they take the opportunity to include the community and clean up the shore that the establishment rests on. This month, the TEC team joined them early in the morning. Sporting t-shirts provided, we joined about 20 other volunteers and tackled the shoreline.
Carrying our IKEA burlap bags we began, keeping an eye out for mostly smaller plastic pieces such as bottle caps, broken micro plastics, threads, coal and the occasional rusted metal screws. It was a beautiful March morning walk, after a weekend of rain, and the clean crisp breeze had everyone in a great mood. The views of blue sky and Bluewaters was an added bonus.
After an hour’s walk and garbage picking, that included larger plastic bottles, metal cans and other miscellaneous, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast at Zero Gravity before getting back to the office for a day of work.
