We were thrilled to be invited to the opening of the JBR’s newest hotspot, Trader Vic’s, which is situated on the mezzanine floor of the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah.

Trader Vic’s has a rich history of success and innovation that all began in 1934 when Vic “The Trader” Bergeron built a cozy little saloon on San Pablo Avenue in Oakland, California called Hinky Dinks.

Today, the Trader Vic’s family of restaurants has 18 locations in various countries across the globe.

Trader Vic’s is home to the Original Mai Tai which was created in 1944 and has a delicious array of cocktails served in a variety of vessels, mugs and glassware. Our TEC favourite is Rusky Mai Tai.

A warm tiki welcome to Dubai’s event scene

We were treated to a vast array of contemporary fusion canapes and nibbles from the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia.  The Indonesian chicken skewers marinated with ginger, lemongrass with chili sauce as well as the spicy tuna chips were to die for!

The venue is spacious, open and would be perfect for large groups of up to 300 guests. Alternatively the terrace could be privatise for smaller groups of 50. Which has stunning views of the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf.
