Cisco Connect is a flagship event for Cisco and takes place annually, where they invite their partners to showcase their products and connect with their customers.
TEC has delivered the event for 3 years and the challenge was to deliver a conference, exhibition and multiple breakout meeting sessions. There were to be 1,500 guests flying in from all over the region for 2 days of activities. We needed to make Cisco Connect interesting, engaging and significantly different from the year before. Whilst this is a corporate event, one of the key objectives was to create as much engagement as possible and have some fun with the guests. Cisco wanted it to be memorable and an exciting alternative to the average supplier conference.
TEC provided flawless end-to-end management of the event, including a conference, exhibition and many breakout meetings and seminars. To drive engagement and gather data from the delegate’s experience, each guest received a RFID bracelet upon registration. This was scanned every time they interacted at partner stands or attended a seminar. Guests gained points they could use on the fairground themed carnival games such as a hook-a-duck and a coconut shy, which created unique moments for guests to enjoy whilst providing Cisco data to follow up on post event.
CSR and giving back to the community are very important to Cisco. To celebrate this, we created the Cisco Connect student program, which allowed university students to gain some hands-on work experience at the event and receive certificates for their achievements.
