HSBC Sustainability Business Accelerator is a programme that helps companies put a measurable ESG strategy in place. An opportune way to get a business started on their sustainability and help them develop long term value creation, cost savings, and ultimately reduce risk.
The Sustainable Business Accelerator is structured in 6 modules, delivered between June and December via virtual events.
90+ clients from 7 countries (UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain, Kuwait and Turkey) in the region would attend the sessions
Our challenge was to bring the program to life both virtual and in-person for the graduation event, which would celebrate the achievements of the companies taking part in in the accelerator, whilst amplifying the program to a wider audience to increase future take up.
We began the project by creating an online hub where applicants could visit to find out more about the accelerator and apply. This microsite had a look and feel in line with the sustainability focus whilst adhering to HSBC brand guidelines.
Once the companies had been approved to join the accelerator we launched our communications plan, with a series of emails to explain more and provide log in details for the 6-part Zoom event series. To maximize attendance we also put in place a 2 phase email reminder programs before each session and shared a feedback form for post event feedback.
The sessions were run end to end by the TEC team ensuring that speakers were briefed ahead of presentations and all audience questions were captured and shared with a full recording and subtitling of the sessions to HSBC.
Once the companies completed the accelerator, we planned both an in-person graduation and an online event to ensure that all graduates could be rewarded for their efforts.
The timing of the graduation was perfectly aligned with COP 28 in Dubai and where better to host the event than at one of the locations within the COP event. We hosted 80 guests from across the region at an evening graduation where they heard from HSBC senior management and then they were presented with the bespoke trophies we created from recycled glass. Following this event in early January we closed the accelerator with an online event for the graduates who were unable to make the in-person event.
